Forensic analysis of video evidence consists of the enhancement and clarification of video and photographic objects. If you have video or an image that might be potential evidence but is dark, blurry, distorted or grainy, don’t think that it is useless as evidence, we might be able to help. Wulff Media Forensics has the expertise and tools to enhance and in some cases, completely restore your video or image. Through our forensic processes, Wulff Media Forensics can create still images from all types of video formats. We can enlarge and sharpen images in order to present better in court or to enhance identification. Where images are blurred by excessive motion of the object or the camera, our forensic techniques can take that blurry image and make them sharp enough for identification. Overly dark video or images can be lightened and enhanced overall or selectively, if needed. We employ the latest noise reduction techniques so that fuzzy images or video can be used as evidence for your case. We can change the perspective of a video image or photograph towards the camera in order to identify a license plate, decal or sign.
We can demultiplex video sources into the individual camera views in real-time. These individual camera views can be arranged on screen for comparison purposes or saved to individual files for more detailed examination. We can conduct authenticity examinations to determine that video recordings are original, continuous, unaltered and consistent with the recording device used to make the recording. We can also determine if image processing was applied to an image in order to alter its appearance prior to our examination. The height of a suspect or distance traveled by an object can be determined with relatively few actual known measurements at the scene.
We don't use software that is a plug-in or add-on to other non-forensic, image processing software. We use standalone programs that are solely created for the purpose of performing video forensics. Our algorithms are created from the world of research and the details on the employed algorithms used can provide the court with all the scientific and technical background of the work done on the material. In addition to our forensic video services, we can professionally edit and convert most video formats into whatever format will do the job for your presentation. Just call us to discuss your needs and we will tell you on the front end if we can do it. If you want us to take a look at your video or images and see what can be done, we would be happy to do that. If we can't improve or enhance your project, you won't pay a dime.
